Nielsen: Pengguna Smartphone di Asia Pasific Meningkat

Sebuah penelitian Smartphone Insights Study dari Nielsen baru-baru ini menyatakan adanya pertumbuhan pengguna smartphone yang cukup signifikan di kawasan Asia Pasifik. Studi yang diadakan di 39 pasar global (13 di antaranya di Asia Pasifik) menitik beratkan pada penggunaan internet melalui smartphone khususnya jejaring sosial dan pencarian internet.

Dari penelitian tersebut, pengguna smartphone di Jepang menduduki peringkat tertinggi yaitu 86%. Artinya sekitar 9 dari 10 pengguna di Jepang mengakses internet via smartphone-nya. Sementara di Korea ada 80% dan Hongkong 76%. Untuk jejaring sosial, sekitar 76% pengguna mengakses via mobile dan Malaysia 74%.

Popularitas smartphone ini juga mendongkrak angka penggunaan layanan berbasis lokasi (LBS/Location Based Service) di Asia Pasifik. Korea menduduki peringkat teratas penggunaan LBS via smartphone dengan angka 59%. kemudian diikuti oleh Jepang dengan 56% serta Hongkong dan Taiwan yang sama-sama mencatatkan angka 53% pengguna.

Pengguna Mobile app, Korea dan Jepang 81%. Tentu saja app paling populer adalah game :) Kecuali di Indonesia yang justru musik serta jejaring sosial yang lebih populer.

Dengan angka share market (smartphone dan penggunaannya) di atas, potensi Mobile Advertising di Asia ini sangat-sangat besar. Cuman sayangnya, sepertinya belum banyak pengiklan yang melihat hal ini. Padahal jumlah smartphone di Asia Pasifik sekarang sudah melebihi jumlah not-so-smartphone yang ada lho :P (ok, it’s called featured phone usually :P)

Terkait dengan mobile advertising, sekitar 77% pengguna di Cina menerima iklan di smartphone mereka sebulan terakhir. Disusul Malaysia (74%), Korea dan Hongkong (66%). Frekuensi paparan mobile advertising tertinggi ada di Jepang sekitar 74% dan Hongkong 65% penggunanya kena iklan setidaknya sekali sehari.

The original Rock version by Nickelback is always my fave. But this country version sung by Bucky Covington is also nice to hear.

MacBook Pro Retina Display

Ini adalah tsubaki, MacBook Pro saya edisi tahun 2010. Dengan RAM 8GB, she’s still a monster now.

Nah, kali ini saya mo nulis tentang MacBook Pro edisi terbaru 2012 dari Apple yang disebut sebagai MacBook Pro Retina Display.
Swear, this is a very tempting sexy machine too bad my pocket is not so deep to get one :(

Pada gelaran WWDC 2012 kemarin, Apple memperkenalkan generasi MacBook Pro yang baru. Ini menjawab gencarnya rumor yang beredar sebelumnya akan seperti apakah keluarga Mac edisi 2012.

Why it’s so sexy?

Mengusung dimensi 15.4 inch, like my MBP. MBP Retina ini tebalnya hanya 0.71 inch , berat cuman 4.46 pound (sekitar 2.2kg) pounds. Layar Retina Displaynya punya kepadatan 220 pixel/inch dengan resolusi native mencapai 2880 x 1800 pixel. Itu lebih gede dari pada resolusi iMac 27inch. Arrrgghhhhhh
Sementara tsubaki, beratnya sekitar 2.7kg, resolusi standar cuman 1440×900. Kebayang deh betapa berat dan sempitnya layar dunia dibandingkan MBP Retina Display :(

Buat yang pernah mengalami perpindahan dari iPhone 3G/3Gs trus ke iPhone4 pasti dah merasakan betapa kinclongnya layar Retina Display ini. Nah bayangin hal serupa untuk ukuran layar 15.4″ instead of cuman 4″.

RAM 8GB (standar yah bukan upgrade) dan pilihan 256GB atau 512GB SSD. Ada card reader SDXC dan port HDMI, kameranya 720p HD.

Kalau cuman cuman dokumen ama browsing sih ini bakal overspec banget. Tapi buat developer nyambi fotografer ma desainer kaya saya ini bakal jadi mobile desktop idaman. Belum lagi untuk render movie, bikin track musik, development environment dengan sekian virtual machine, layar yang legaaaaa, you name it.

Durability produk Apple terbilang tangguh. Macbook white ku seri MB403 edisi 2008 sampai saat ini running very well, bahkan batre nya pun nyaris tidak berasa ada penurunan kapasitas. Yah kecuali bodi plastiknya ajah ada yang bocel karena sepertinya salah design si Apple dengan magnetic latch nya. Jadi teorinya si tsubaki ini masih bisa lari untuk 2 tahun ke depan :)
