Liverpool goes to istanbul

Luis Garcia’s first-half strike ensured Anfield can boast a new crop of legends as Liverpool overcame Chelsea 1-0 to reach the Champions League final.

And after 20 years, they will now face AC Milan or PSV Eindhoven in their sixth European Cup final on May 25 in Istanbu since Haysel Stadium Tragedy 1985. Because of that tragedy, UEFA acted swiftly to ban all English clubs indefinitely from participating in any of the three European competitions in the wake of the tragedy. 10 years including Liverpool.

So… goodbye treble, Chelsea. The English champion this year is not good enough yet to be European champion.
